Davenport, Iowa — October 7, 2025. With the city primary now behind them, Davenport voters can look ahead to the next major opportunity to hear directly from those seeking office. A public candidate forum will be held on Wednesday, October 29, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at St. Ambrose University’s Rogalski Center. “The 2025 Davenport City Election is one of most consequential city elections that we have had in a very long time,” said Brian Kramer, Executive Director of the Hilltop Campus Village. “As we have seen over the last two years, Davenport has had successes, and lows, in the areas of Economic Development, in Social Services, in Housing, and the City’s basic mandate to serve the taxpayers of Davenport.” The forum, which is free and open to the public, will feature candidates in all competitive races. Voters will be able to hear candidates discuss key issues facing Davenport ahead of the November election. For those unable to attend in person, KWQC-TV will broadcast and stream the event live on its sub-channel Cozi 6.3, Mediacom 106 or KWQC.com/livestream making it accessible citywide. This year, Hilltop’s Shop Small campaign expands into a full week of activity, distributing Hilltop Bucks and connecting directly with the people who live, study, and shop here. These efforts ensure local dollars stay local — supporting independent retailers, service providers, and entrepreneurs throughout the district. Hilltop Shop Small Week Activities Monday, November 23 Noon – Hilltop Charrette – Participants receive Hilltop Bucks and pizza Noon – Davenport Rotary Club – Distribution of Hilltop Bucks during the weekly meeting Tuesday, November 24 10:00 AM – Palmer College TablingHilltop Campus Village will host a table at Palmer College, handing out surveys and Hilltop Bucks to students and staff. Saturday, November 29 – Shop Small Saturday 9:00 AM – Tabling at Ascentra Credit UnionHilltop will be stationed in Ascentra’s lobby, providing a warm, highly visible staging area for voucher distribution and information. 8:00 AM – Santa in the HilltopSanta will visit Hilltop businesses, spreading holiday cheer and encouraging community members to shop local.
