Volunteer

At Hilltop Campus Village, there are so many ways to get involved.  Anything you can do is important to the continuing success of the organization. Our committees offer a wide range of opportunities and the best way to find something that works for you is to contact us directly. After a few minutes, we’ll think of something – trust us!

Support 

The Hilltop Campus Village is certified as a 501c3 not for profit corporation, exempt from Federal income Tax per the Internal Revenue Code. As such, contributions to the Hilltop Campus Village are tax deductible. The Hilltop Campus Village is also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts. Individuals, corporations of other entities seeking additional information may contact the Hilltop Campus Village offices

Organization

Establish an effective organization in Davenport’s Hilltop Campus Village that will define a strategic direction and, through the communication of defined priorities maintain enthusiasm and keep people involved with individuals working toward a common goal.

Design

To preserve and enhance the historic character of Hilltop Campus Village through thoughtful renovation, streetscape improvements, education and incentives.

The Design Committee supports projects that improve the district’s appearance, strengthen historic preservation and create a more welcoming environment for residents, businesses and visitors.

 

Current work includes coordinating cleanup efforts, hosting design workshops, supporting restoration projects and partnering with the City of Davenport on long-term streetscape improvements.

Economic

To encourage reinvestment in Hilltop Campus Village by supporting existing businesses, attracting new growth and strengthening the district’s economic vitality.

The Economic Vitality Committee works to understand business needs, identify opportunities for growth and advocate for improvements that make Hilltop a stronger place to invest, work and visit. Current efforts include business surveys, community listening sessions, student-led research partnerships and ongoing advocacy to improve the local business climate.

Promotions

By capitalizing on the importance of the district to the community, create a destination for visitors and local residents through existing activities and new events; and by using concise marketing to overcome the negative perceptions of speed, crime and costs.
