Housewarming beverages and such are not necessary but would be most welcome.
This soiree is an informal social gathering to celebrate the first anniversary of the HCV’s being in their present offices. This is our third home, and we are very happy to be here. Our first office was in the Professional Arts Building, which was torn down to make way for the new Ascentra Credit Union, and the new Sanitary Suds. Our second location was in the Prester building at 6012 Brady which, with help from a Main Street Iowa Innovation grant, was converted into Studio Space for Start up businesses and not for profit corporations. This effort met with such success that a new business asked if they could have our space, so we moved again. We are deeply appreciative of the generosity of Ascentra Credit Union, which has allowed us to occupy and manage this facility. We have also been happy to welcome a recent co-occcupant, the Women’s Connection. They are a great organization that will bring much additional vitality to 122 East 15th. But that’s another story.
