Design Goal
To preserve, renovate and enhance the historic districts, properties and streetscapes in Davenport’s Hilltop Campus Village, using education and incentives as tools to effectively blend vacant land, residential and commercial buildings.
Each Committee is working on Projects. Each project has a Work Plan. Each Work Plan is being executed by volunteers. The Design Committee is working on the following projects:
- Helping coordinate Clean Sweep event with the United Neighbors Association (May 15, 2010)
- Hold a Design Guidelines Workshop for area residents and businesses (April 8).
- Oversee implementation of restoration of 1514 Harrison Street, utilizing a grant from the Main Street Iowa organization.
- Work with City of Davenport Community Planning and Economic Development Department to develop a comprehensive street scaping plan, utilizing multiple grant awards and other resources.
